APHC-AJK hails role of Kashmiri diaspora in projecting Indian atrocities at world level

Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a grand ceremony in Islamabad today in which prominent figures from the Kashmiri diaspora Ms Saima Suleman and Khawaja Suleman were specially invited in recognition of their outstanding services.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the ceremony was presided over by APHC-AJK chapter senior Hurriyat leader Mahmood Ahmed Saghar while prominent leaders from the Hurriyat leadership and media attended it.

Syed Yousuf Naseem speaking on the occasion said the Kashmiri diaspora is an essential pillar of the Kashmir freedom movement, which has been representing the oppressed Kashmiri people at every forum in the world.

He said Kashmiris abroad have always played a leading role in exposing Indian atrocities at international forums and awakening the public opinion at global level.

He further said Ms Saima Suleman and Khwaja Suleman are shining examples of this struggle, who have dedicated their lives for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people.

Syed Yousuf Naseem said efforts made by Ms Saima Suleman for highlighting the issues and struggles of Kashmiri women in the UK and Europe will be written in golden letters in history. Kashmiri women sacrificed their lives, lost their sons and brothers, and are still enduring the hardships of imprisonment, he added.

Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, who chaired the ceremony, in his address said the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are victims of the worst Indian state oppression, forced arrests, and human rights violations. He said India has turned the entire territory into a torture chamber, but could not defeat the courage and determination of the Kashmiri people.

He said in the recent war between Pakistan and India, Allah Almighty made Pakistan victorious and defeated India in a resounding manner. Similarly, he said the historic agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is a great diplomatic success. However, despite all this, the dire situation in occupied Kashmir remains in place and the international community must play a serious role for permanent settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

Khawaja Suleman on the occasion said the sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri people will not go waste under any circumstances and Kashmir will definitely be freed and will become a part of Pakistan.

Ms Saima Suleman in her address said she considers herself a daughter of Kashmir. She said since childhood, she has been participating in the programs of the Kashmir freedom movement in the UK and the day is not far when the Kashmiri people will be freed from the slavery of India.

Besides Syed Yousuf Naseem, the ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Dawood Khan, Nisar Mirza, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Zahid Safi, Raja Shaheen, Imtiaz Wani, Ijaz Rehmani, Muhammad Shafi Dar, Abdul Majeed Lone, Abdul Majeed Sheikh, Adeel Mushtaq, Zahid Mujtaba, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Syed Gulshan, Manzoor Dar, Nazir Karnahi, Afsar Khan, Zakir Hussain, journalist Bashir Usmani, journalist Naeem Al-Assad and Mushtaq Ahmed Butt.
