IIOJK HC to hear Meraj Malik’s PSA detention plea on Feb 19
Srinagar: The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is scheduled to hear next week a petition filed by Aam Aadmi Party Member of Legislative Assembly Meraj Malik challenging his detention under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA)
According to Kashmir Media Service, Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani heard submissions from state counsels Sunil Sethi and Monica Kohli today.
The matter has been listed for further hearing on February 19, Advocate Appu Singh Slathia told reporters after the proceedings.
The court had previously heard part of the arguments advanced by the state counsels last week.
Meraj Malik, who represents Doda constituency, was detained under the PSA in September last year. His detention has been challenged before the High Court by the Aam Aadmi Party. KMS—24A
