President Zardari, PM Shehbaz say armed forces fully capable of crushing aggression
Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have said that Pakistan will make no compromise on peace, stability, and regional integrity.
According to Kashmir Media Service, President Asif Ali Zardari in a statement regarding the recent Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions, said today Pakistani nation and its armed forces stand like a wall to protect the country’s integrity and borders.
He said no one should have the misconception that Pakistan can be intimidated by pressure or threats. The armed forces’ response capabilities are comprehensive, timely, and decisive, and they are fully capable of thwarting the enemy’s malicious designs, he added.
President Zardari added that he had issued a clear and stern warning to the Taliban regime after the February 8 suicide attack at a mosque in Islamabad, and again five days ago on February 22, he sent the same firm message to this group.
The President further stated that Pakistan knows well where the planners, facilitators, and sponsors of violence are located, and if the bloodshed continues, no responsible element will remain beyond reach.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in his statement, reacting to Afghanistan’s unprovoked firing on multiple locations across the border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said Pakistan armed forces possess full capability to crush any aggressive designs.
He said the people of Pakistan and the armed forces are always ready to protect the country’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Shehbaz stated that the Pakistan armed forces are determined not to allow any threat to the country’s peace and security under any circumstances, and they possess full capability to crush any aggressive designs.
He said that under the leadership of Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistan armed forces are performing their duties with national spirit.
“The armed forces are equipped with professional skills, advanced training, and effective defense strategies, fully capable of handling any internal or external challenge,” PM said.
The Prime Minister emphasized that no compromise will be made on the defense of the homeland, and every act of aggression will be decisively responded to. Pakistan has always promoted peace, but will not allow any threat to its sovereignty, and the Pakistan armed forces will firmly counter any aggression.
