Srinagar: Mirwaiz condemns Iranian leader Ali Larijani’s killing, restrictions in IIOJK

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the killing of Iranian leader and Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, calling it a “targeted killing” carried out by Israel, which he described as a “rogue state”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who is under house arrest in Srinagar in a statement on X expressed solidarity with Iran, praising the resilience of its people and leadership. “The resilience of the people of Iran and their leadership reflects the spirit of a true Muslim nation — courageous, steadfast with resolute faith in Allah. Such people deserve to lead,” he stated.
Mirwaiz further criticised several Muslim world leaders, accusing them of acting as “proxies, bereft of courage and conviction” in the face of aggression against Iran.
Referring to the prevailing situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Mirwaiz said, “Te fearful rulers of this police state have, by force, once again kept him away from the House of God in the holy month of Ramzan, placing him under house arrest and preventing him from delivering a sermon at Gol Masjid, Karan Nagar.” “What a shame,” he said.
