APHC-AJK extends Eid-ul-Adha greetings to Kashmiris, Pakistanis

Kashmiris’ sacrifices reflect true spirit of Eid: Hurriyat leaders

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and the entire Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of the festival.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, General Secretary Parvez Ahmad Shah, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, and other leaders, in a joint statement in Islamabad, said Eid-ul-Adha is not merely a religious festival but a profound symbol of sacrifice, loyalty, piety, obedience to Allah, and unwavering devotion, exemplified by the unparalleled sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

They said this sacred occasion teaches the Muslim Ummah that offering every kind of sacrifice for truth, justice, the supremacy of faith, and the defence of oppressed humanity is the true essence of Imaan and servitude to Allah.

The Hurriyat leaders said the Kashmiri people have been rendering unparalleled sacrifices for decades in pursuit of their fundamental right to self-determination, freedom, dignity, and justice. They said Eid-ul-Adha renews the collective pledge to continue the Kashmir freedom movement at every level until it reaches its logical conclusion.

They appealed to the Kashmiri people not to forget their brothers and sisters suffering under Indian oppression, imprisonment, and human tragedy, urging them to remember the families of martyrs, widows, orphaned children, persons with disabilities, vulnerable families, and the relatives of detained Hurriyat leaders and activists in their prayers, compassion, and practical support.

Paying glowing tribute to the sacrifices and steadfastness resolve of political prisoners and pro-freedom leadership languishing in Indian jails, the Hurriyat leaders said their sacrifices would never be forgotten.

They also extended Eid greetings to the people and government of Pakistan, political and religious parties, social organisations, and the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, expressing gratitude for their continued political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmir freedom movement.

The APHC leaders urged the Muslim world, international human rights organisations, and the global community to treat the Kashmir dispute not merely as a regional conflict but as a serious humanitarian, moral, and political issue, and to play an effective role in supporting the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and restoring lasting peace, justice, and human dignity in the region.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Alliance also extended Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the oppressed Kashmiri people and the entire Muslim world. In a statement, the Alliance spokesman said Eid-ul-Adha not only teaches the sacrifice of animals, but also conveys the message of standing firm against falsehood, resisting oppression, and sacrificing everything beloved for the sake of Allah’s pleasure. He said IIOJK continues to bleed under brutal Indian military oppression. He added that the occupation Indian forces are under the false impression that they can suppress the freedom movement through bullets, prisons, black laws, and state terrorism, but history bears witness that oppression always perishes while truth endures and ultimately prevails.
