Missing Muslim boy found dead with injury marks on body in UP
Lukhnow: A 17-year-old Muslim boy was found dead in Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Uttar Pradesh state of India with massive injury marks on his body.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Muslim teenage boy was found dead in a canal of Lakhimpur Kheri district of the state.
Talking to media over the phone, the family members of the victim said that he was murdered as there were injury marks on his body.
“When we found the dead body, it appeared that he was beaten up. There were injury marks on his body and his teeth were broken. One of the eyes had injury marks and there was fracture on the both hands. He was brutally beaten up,” said Sartaj Ahmed, uncle of the boy.
The teenager victim went missing early this month. Family members of the boy had filed a missing complaint at the local police station. However, the police did not act on their complaint. Later, an FIR was lodged at the Police Station Kheri by a Hindu woman stating that the boy had married her daughter.
The BJP administration bulldozed the house of his parents.
The uncle of the victim said that his entire family was put into the lockup asking them to bring the boy and the girl. “How can we find them out if we were put in the lockup in police station…we were released when the body of the boy was found,” he said.
In another incident, a 19-year-old Muslim boy friendship with a 15-year-old Hindu girl took a communal turn with Hindutva groups propagating it to be a case of ‘love jihad’ in Karnataka state of India. The incident was reported in K.R. Patna police station in Mandya district of the state after the parents of the girl have filed a complaint with the police. Banjrang Dal staged a protest in connection with the incident against the Muslim community. The situation in the area is tense.
