Detainee commits suicide in Jammu’s Amphalla Jail
Jammu: A detainee committed suicide in Amphalla jail of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the detainee, Jagdev Singh alias Michael who brutally murdered his mother and 3-month-old daughter with a sharp-edged weapon in October 2023, was found hanging with his trousers inside Amphalla Jail in Jammu.
Soon after getting information, a team of Police Station Pacca Danga reached at the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead on arrival.
While the post-mortem of the deceased has been conducted by the board of doctors a judicial enquiry has also been ordered into the incident.
