APHC-AJK condemns ban on J&K Muslim Conference by Modi regime

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC-AJK) Azad Kashmir Chapter has vehemently denounced the ban imposed by the India’s Hindutva government on the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK leaders Zahid Safi and Adeel Mushtaq Wani in their statements in Islamabad expressed strong opposition to the banning of political organizations, labeling it as yet another manifestation of India’s Hindutva-driven anti-Kashmir, anti-peace, and so-called democratic agenda.

The leaders emphasized that India’s resort to banning political entities through false and baseless accusations cannot suppress voices advocating for justice, freedom, and peace, neither in the past nor in the future.

Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, through a tweet, declared the Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Conference led by Professor Abdul Ghani Butt and Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference led by Ghulam Nabi Sumhji as unlawful.
