Maulana Showkat remembered on martyrdom anniversary
Muzaffarabad: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) paid tribute to Maulana Showkat Shaheed, acknowledging his unforgettable contributions and steadfast commitment to the cause of freedom in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, JKLF spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar in a statement stated that Maulana Showkat Shaheed’s tireless efforts to eliminate sectarianism from IIOJK will always be remembered with reverence.
Maulana Showkat attained martyrdom on April 8, 2011, in Srinagar.
Dar emphasized Maulana Showkat’s unwavering dedication to the cause of freedom, his advocacy for the unity of the Ummah, and his endeavors to propagate the authentic teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. He highlighted Maulana Showkat’s philanthropic activities, educational initiatives, and social welfare work, along with his vision of establishing an Islamic university.
Dar concluded by asserting that Maulana Showkat’s leadership and legacy remain unparalleled, leaving an indelible mark even on his adversaries.
