Protest held in Mandi against BJP’s arrest spree
Shimla: A protest demonstration was held in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) policy of arrests and crackdowns across India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest was organized by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers, who also condemned the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The protest was led by AAP’s district in-charge Rakesh Rawat, and IIOJK secretary Rakesh Malhotra was also present.
Malhotra alleged that the BJP was misusing government agencies for its personal interests and was scared of the AAP’s growing popularity. He criticized the ongoing investigation into the liquor scam, saying that despite raids by the Enforcement Directorate, no money had been recovered.
“The Opposition leaders are being put in jail without any evidence,” Malhotra said. “Our struggle to save democracy will continue, and we will work to take everyone along in this struggle.”
Other AAP workers present at the protest included Neeraj Saini, Shera Negi, Ajay Sharma, Girdhari Lal, Ashwani Sharma, Govind Rangda, Sanjay Sandhu, Brijlal, Bhup Singh, Hardev Singh, Chaman Thakur, Pawan Kumar, Dhandev, Bansilal Sharma, Tikender Thakur, Dilip Singh Thakur, and others.
