Protest in Muzaffarabad against arrests of youth in IIOJK by Indian troops
Muzaffarabad: A protest was held in Muzaffarabad against the illegal arrests of more than 100 innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces in Rajouri, Poonch and Bandipora districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of people participated in the protest organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir and raised slogans against Indian oppression and violence on innocent Kashmiris.
Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam, General Secretary of Bar Council Syed Abdul Samad, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Khalid Mahmood Zaidi, Usman Ali Hashim Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Aslam Inqilabi and others addressed the demonstration.
They said Indian forces have arrested more than 100 innocent Kashmiris during the ongoing siege and search operations in Bandipora and Rajouri districts.
They said that at least 70 illegal arrests have been made from Shahdara area of Rajouri district alone. They said Modi’s Indian government is subjecting innocent Kashmiris to the worst atrocities to change the Muslim identity of Jammu and Kashmir.
The speakers appealed to international human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, Asia Watch and others, to play their role for the release of innocent Kashmiris detained in jails of India and the territory.
