CRPF man’s murder in Assam exposes dark side of domestic violence in Indian forces
Guwahati: The murder of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel by his wife and her lover has shocked people across Indian state of Assam, highlighting the issue of domestic violence within the Indian forces.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident raises concerns about the growing number of similar cases among military personnel and the underlying factors contributing to this trend.
Experts suggest that prolonged periods of separation, stress, trauma, and the psychological impact of their duties in places like occupied Jammu and Kashmir may contribute to strained relationships and increased vulnerability to extramarital affairs.
The victim, Ditumoni Haloi, a young CRPF jawan posted in Manipur, was killed by his wife and her lover after he discovered their affair.
