Voter list revision in IIOJK meant to favour outsiders: Opposition parties

Srinagar: The authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have begun revising voter lists, a move opposition parties claim is aimed at giving leverage to a particular community ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the revision process, which started on June 25 and will continue until July 24, allegedly targets accommodating voters from outside the occupied territory to favor the ruling BJP.

Opposition parties claim the exercise is biased and intended to influence the electoral outcome, sparking a heated debate in the territory.
