‘Record voter turnout in parliamentary polls reflects people’s anger’
Jammu: Senior National Conference leader, Rattan Lal Gupta has criticized BJP-led Indian government’s ongoing misgovernance and misrule in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a party function in Hiranagar, Kathua, Gupta, the Provincial President of NC Jammu, attributed the high turnout in the recent parliamentary elections in IIOJK to the frustration and disillusionment of Kashmiri people with the New Delhi-controlled administration in the territory.
Gupta highlighted that every region in IIOJ&K is grappling with the repercussions of BJP-led governance, emphasizing numerous challenges faced by Kashmiri people. He cited acute shortages of potable water, mismanaged healthcare facilities, and erratic power supply as pressing issues.
“The unprecedented turnout in the recent Lok Sabha elections is a clear and unequivocal message from the people of Kashmir,” Gupta asserted, describing it as a manifestation of deep-seated frustration over mismanagement, recruitment scandals, and persistent neglect by the Indian government.
