Pro-freedom activist Mir Sirajuddin passes away in IIOJK
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, pro-freedom activist Mir Sirajuddin, affectionately known as Dawood Sahib, passed away today due to a heart attack in the Tangmarg area of Baramulla district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of people from various walks of life attended the funeral prayer of the deceased in his native area of Tangmarg, where he was laid to rest. The community came together to honor his memory and contributions.
The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front expressed deep sorrow and condolences over his passing. JKLF spokesperson Mohammad Rafiq Dar, in a statement in Islamabad, paid tribute to Mir Sirajuddin’s significant role to the Kashmir freedom movement. Dar announced that a prayer meeting and Quran recitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, at Upper Chhatar, Muzaffarabad, after Asr prayers, to honor the late leader.
Dar praised Mir Sirajuddin’s unforgettable services to the freedom movement, ensuring that his legacy will always be remembered.
