India grabs land from Mian Qayoom, other Kashmir cause champions in IIOJK
Srinagar: In an attempt to Hinduize occupied Jammu and Kashmir and deprive the Kashmiri people championing the right to self-determination, the Narendra Modi-led Indian regime has taken control of over 159 kanals of land owned by pro-freedom activists, including the incarcerated former president of the Kashmir Bar Association, Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, in the Barzulla area of Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the land has been confiscated in the name of construction of a Hindu temple. The Modi regime is using its pliant judiciary to advance the nefarious Hindutva agenda in the UN-recognized occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
As per details, the High Court of the occupied territory on Tuesday directed the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to take over possession of over 159 kanals of land for the construction of the Raghu Nath Ji Temple in Barzulla, Srinagar.
The land also includes over six kanals in possession of four siblings, including Mian Abdul Qayoom. Critics argue that this decision is a clear example of the Indian government’s continued efforts to erase the cultural and religious identity of Kashmiris and impose Hindu dominance over the occupied territory. Many fear that this development may further exacerbate the already volatile situation in the disputed territory.
