IIOJK authorities demolish twelve shops of Kashmiri Pandits
Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the occupying authorities have demolished 12 shops owned by Kashmiri Pandit migrants.
According to Kashmir Media Service, without issuing prior notice to shop owners, Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Jammu Development Authority today demolished twelve shops in Muthi township on the outskirts of Jammu district.
The affected shopkeepers said that the demolition was carried out without any prior notice, leaving them without a source of livelihood.
Residents said they were shocked to see a bulldozer halted near the shops and asking the shopkeepers to empty the premises quickly.
The shopkeepers said that they had set up small shops to make ends meet, but now face an uncertain future. They said the officials who accompanied the squad did not accept their pleas.
