Tribal youth dragged by car in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: An Adivasi youth was dragged along the road by a car for 500 meters in the Indian state of Kerala on Sunday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place in Wayanad district when the tribal man, identified as Mathan, intervened to mediate a dispute between two groups at the scene.
Mathan sustained injuries to his waist and arms and was admitted to the government medical college in Mananthavady, Wayanad.
A viral video on social media showed one of the car’s occupants holding Mathan’s hand through the window as the vehicle dragged him along the road.
The Indian police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
