Indian police file chargesheets against five in Doda under UAPA
Jammu: The Indian police have filed chargesheets against five detained individuals in Doda district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in two fabricated cases under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the chargesheets were filed in an NIA [National Investigation Agency] court in Doda, related to cases registered at Gandoh Police Station and Dessa Police Station. The detained individuals are alleged to be supporters of pro-freedom groups in the district.
Four among the detained are Shaukat Ali of Sharakhi village, Muneer Hussain of Parnoo village, Tanvir Ahmad of Kulhand village, and Noor Alam of Doda town.
Indian authorities claim the action is part of a broader strategy to dismantle the logistical and financial infrastructure supporting pro-freedom activities in the district. However, this latest move reflects a deeper strategy to stifle dissent and suppress the voices of Kashmiris, forcing them to abandon their political beliefs and conform to the occupying regime’s narrative.
