Rejects baseless claims by Indian Defense Minister and Army Chief
Islamabad: Pakistan has rejected the baseless claims made by India’s Defense Minister and Army Chief, stating that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory and that its final status must be determined in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, in a statement, strongly denied claims regarding the alleged presence of Pakistani militants in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that the final status of Jammu and Kashmir must be determined according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and refuted India’s baseless claims over Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The spokesperson emphasized that these provocative statements cannot divert global attention from the grave human rights violations occurring in IIOJK.
He further clarified that such inflammatory remarks are harmful to regional peace and stability and urged India to look inward rather than making unfounded accusations against others. The spokesperson also called on India to acknowledge the documented evidence of its involvement in terrorism and state-sponsored killings in other countries, instead of targeting Pakistan.
