Kashmiris will continue freedom struggle until self-determination secured: APHC-AJK

Rawalpindi: The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, has said that Kashmiris will continue their struggle until they achieve their internationally recognized right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, addressing a function organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell in Rawalpindi, said India’s negative attitude and stubbornness are the biggest obstacle in the implementation of the United Nations resolution.
He said Jammu and Kashmir is not a part of India but the UN Security Council has recognized the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination in its resolutions and has promised to give them this inalienable right.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi said India has been repeating its position regarding occupied Jammu and Kashmir at the forum of the international organization for many years, which is contrary to the facts. He said Kashmiris reject India’s forced occupation of their motherland. India, the so-called champion of democracy, has been occupying a large part of Jammu and Kashmir for the past several decades and is involved in war crimes against humanity in the occupied territory, he added.
He said India is hoodwinking the world by celebrating the so-called Republic Day, which has kept the oppressed Kashmiris hostage on the pretext of military force. He said thousands of Kashmiris are still detained in various Indian jails for raising their voice for their rights.
The APHC-AJK Convener said India’s celebration of Republic Day in these circumstances is a mockery of democracy. A country that has occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the wishes of the people has no right to be called a democratic country, he maintained.
A large number of students from the universities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad attended the ceremony.
Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell, Raja Khan Afsar Khan, Sardar Sajid Mahmood, Malik Tahir Awan, Malik Asif Awan, Qari Sibghatullah Qadri, Qari Samiullah Qadri and others were also present on the occasion.
