Armed struggle against India legal right of Kashmiris: PM AJK

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has stated that international law allows the people of Jammu and Kashmir to wage an armed struggle against India, as it has illegally occupied the disputed territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, in an interview with a private news channel, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq stated that Pakistan’s relationship with Kashmir is rooted in both faith (Kalima) and the constitution of Pakistan. He asserted that Pakistan has consistently advocated for the fundamental rights of Kashmiris on international forums.

The Prime Minister further emphasized that Pakistan’s leadership would never compromise on the nuclear program or the Kashmir issue. “This is an era of narrative warfare,” he said, highlighting that Indian agencies have spent billions of rupees in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to promote false narratives and weaken the relationship between AJK and Pakistan. He dismissed India’s claims of Pakistani interference in IIOJK as mere propaganda against Pakistan.

Chaudhry Anwarul Haq also reminded that their forefathers laid down their lives for the cause of joining Pakistan. He pointed out that following India’s unilateral and illegal action on August 5, 2019, the first statement by Pakistan’s military chief cleared the confusion surrounding the Kashmir issue.
