APHC-AJK Information Secretary Mushtaq Butt visits Basnar Camp


Muzaffarabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, along with a delegation, visited Basnar Camp, Muzaffarabad, in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed on February 5 and the death anniversary of Shaheed Afzal Guru on February 9.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation included Munir Ahmed Konshe, Zubair Durrani and Commander Haider Kashmiri.

Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, in his address on the occasion said the Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir are committing atrocities on the unarmed Kashmiris who are continuing their freedom struggle.

He said the situation in the occupied territory is very complex. He said India is distorting the population ratio in occupied Jammu and Kashmir by settling non-Kashmiris there.

He lamented that the Indian forces were martyring innocent Kashmiri youth in fake encounters. Those who raise their voice against Indian oppression are being imprisoned by filing false cases, he added.

He said there is a severe restriction on the media in Jammu and Kashmir. India has made the lives of Kashmiris more miserable, he said and invited the youth to participate in the Martyrs Conference to be held on February 5, Kashmir Solidarity Day, and February 9, the martyrdom anniversary of Afzal Guru.
