Bandipora residents protest over drinking water shortage

Srinagar: Residents of Bandipora district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir took to the streets to protest over drinking water shortage.

According to Kashmir Media Service, residents of Mir Mohallah, Danger Mohallah, Bonikhan, Parray Mohallah, and several other areas of Hajin town are facing a severe drinking water crisis. The protesters, including women, blocked the market road to press for the immediate resolution of their demand.

Protesters said the administration had promised that the water supply would be restored by Sunday evening, but the issue of water shortage continued. They added that the shortage of drinking water was causing them significant inconvenience during the holy month of Ramadan.
