Kashmiris face continued harassment inside India, says Omar Abdullah

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed concern over the recurrent harassment of Kashmiris inside India, particularly in Himachal Pradesh, and urged immediate actions to stop the disturbing trend.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing media queries outside the IIOJK Legislative Assembly in Jammu, Omar Abdullah said, “This (harassment) is not good. I discussed this issue in the Chief Ministers’ conference and requested all Chief Ministers to stop this trend of harassing Kashmiris, whether students or traders.”
He deplored that the trend continues, and called for an end to the intimidation and victimization of Kashmiris inside India.
The issue was echoed in the IIOJK Legislative Assembly, with several members seeking a debate on it.
The CM’s remarks come amid ongoing concerns about the treatment of Kashmiris outside the occupied territory, with many calling for greater protection and accountability.
