India moving towards dictatorship: Samajwadi Party MP

New Delhi: Indian parliament member and Samajwadi Party leader Awadhesh Prasad has said that the results of the West Bengal elections indicate that India is moving towards dictatorship.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to an Indian news agency, Awadhesh Prasad expressed serious concern over the state of democratic institutions in the country.

He said that after observing the West Bengal election results, it appears that India is heading towards authoritarian rule, adding that democracy and the constitution are in grave danger.
