Tension grips Indian Punjab after sacrilege act at famous gurdwara, killing
Amritsar: Tension has gripped volatile state of Punjab in India after a desecration act a famous gurdwara, a place of worship in Sikhism, by apparently a Hindutva activist in the Kapurthala district of the state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place at Chhevi Patshahi Gurdwara in Phagwara area of the district. The Hindutva activist was allegedly killed by Sikh devotees after the sacrilege act.
Heavy police force has been deployed around the gurdwara to prevent the situation from getting out of control.
