Rehmani pays tribute to martyred leader Ghulam Muhammad Bulla on martyrdom anniversary

Islamabad: Senior APHC-AJK leader, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has paid rich tribute to noted Kashmiri freedom leader, Ghulam Muhammad Bulla on his 49th martyrdom anniversary.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Mohammad Bulla was arrested by Indian police for leading a protest rally against the Indira-Abdullah Accord and was later tortured and martyred in Central Jail Srinagar on February 15, 1975.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad while paying tribute to Bulla said he was a daring soldier of the Kashmir freedom movement and had inspired many people. He said that 1974 and 1975 had become hallmark of impressive rallies against accord with Delhi, adding public protests in 70s and 80s paved the way for mass uprising in 1990.

Rehmani condemned extending of Indian laws and post 5 August 2019 colonial measures by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, urging all big powers to declare Indian steps as ultra vires. He said thousands of Kashmiris and heads of political parties had been languishing in jails facing fabricated prosecution charges to silence them.

The APHC-AJK senior leader strongly lambasted Delhi Hindutva rulers for dismissing Kashmiri Muslim officers from their services on fabricated accusations and against the service rules of the Jammu and Kashmir employees service code. He also expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention of Kashmiri detainees in jails.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged upon the United Nations Secretary General António Guterres and the UN Human Rights Council to take notice of Indian government’s humiliating and tyrannical behaviour with the Kashmirs and impress upon New Delhi to abandon such inhuman and repressive policies in IIOJK.
