NSCN-IM leader shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Nagaland


Kohima: The deputy leader of National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), Khampei Konyak, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in disturbed Nagaland state in India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the NSCN-IM deputy leader, Khampei Konyak, was killed by unknown gunmen at his residence in Namsa of Mon district of the state.

The incident happened when a group of six unidentified individuals barged into his residence and shot him before fleeing the region.

Following the incident, the NSCN-IM leader was taken to the hospital, however, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
