Amarnath yatra crosses 3 lakh mark
Srinagar: The Amarnath yatra has crossed 3 lakh mark as pilgrims continue to visit the naturally formed ice lingam at the cave shrine in South Kashmir.
On Sunday alone, 14,974 pilgrims performed the yatra, taking the total number to 3,09,957.
According to officials, 9,755 male pilgrims, 3,291 female pilgrims, 245 Sadhus, and one Sadhvi were among those visited the 3,880-meter high cave shrine. Additionally, over 1,500 security forces and 159 children also performed the pilgrimage.
Last year, over 4.5 lakh pilgrims visited the cave.
