BJP govt terminates six more Kashmiri employees in IIOJK
Srinagar: The BJP-led Indian government has dismissed six more Kashmiri employees in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, those terminated include five policemen and a teacher. They have been identified as head constable Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, constable Khalid Hussian Shah, constable Rehmat Shah, constable Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo, constable Saif Din, and government teacher Nazim Din.
The New Delhi-appointed administration in IIOJK dismissed these employees on the grounds of alleged ties to the freedom movement, a tactic frequently employed to target Muslim staff in the occupied territory.
An Indian official said that the administration, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has invoked Article 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution of India to sack these employees. Under this provision of Indian constitution, the dismissed employees are barred from challenging their termination or seeking redress from any relevant department.
This move follows a troubling trend under the Modi regime, which has seen dozens of government employees in IIOJK dismissed on similar grounds. The sacking of these employees is widely perceived as part of a broader strategy by the Indian government to purge government departments of Kashmiri Muslim personnel and replace them with Hindutva activists.
