Muzaffarabad seminar condemns Indian occupation, reaffirms Kashmiris’ unyielding resolve for freedom
Muzaffarabad: The Democratic Hurriyat Front held a seminar in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, to mark India’s Independence Day as Black Day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the event was also organized to protest India’s continued occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. Among others, the seminar was attended by Javed Badhanvi, Minister of Rehabilitation of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, who served as the chief guest. The event was presided over by Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Chairman of the Democratic Hurriyat Front.
Speakers at the seminar stated that India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is entirely illegal and immoral. They emphasized that the Kashmiri people have completely rejected Indian occupation and are making tremendous sacrifices for their freedom from Indian yoke.
The speakers also noted that India has failed to suppress the Kashmiri people’s spirit of freedom through its brutal use of force and is fighting a losing battle in the occupied territory. They reaffirmed the Kashmiri people’s firm resolve to carry their martyrs’ mission to its logical conclusion and will not rest until Indian occupation is ended.
In his speech, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal expressed gratitude to the government of Pakistan and the Pakistani people for their unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support. He acknowledged Pakistan’s forceful representation of the Kashmiri cause on international forums.
Other speakers included Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Gauhar Kashmiri, Numberdar Chaudhry Muhammad Mushtaq, Muhammad Younus Mir, Maroof Qureishi, Muhammad Iqbal Awan, Nazir Abdul Hanan, Raja Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Chaudhry Tanzeer Iqbal, Chaudhry Jamal, Sardar Ishtiaq Awan, and Ashfaq Ahmad.
