MMU condemns blasphemous remarks by Narsinghanand, demands his arrest
Srinagar: Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by Narsinghanand regarding the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the MMU in a statement in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, said such blasphemous statements are completely unacceptable to Muslims and all those who believe in respect for religious personalities and prophets. The agenda of these evil people who deliberately hurt the sentiments of Muslims, is to provoke, spread hate and incite communal violence among communities, it added.
The MMU said despite Narsinghanand’s track record as a hate monger, he is out on bail, which raises serious concerns about the intention of those in charge in maintaining communal harmony. “We demand his immediate arrest and the cancellation of his bail at the earliest. The sanctity of our faith must be respected, and the law must take its course to hold such offenders accountable,” it said.

Meanwhile, Grand Mufti of IIOJK Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in his statement in Srinagar strongly denounced the remarks made by Narasighanand, a Hindu fanatic from Meerut, against Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam emphasized that such harmful, insulting, and disrespectful comments are unacceptable, causing distress to millions of Muslims worldwide.
He demanded stern action against the culprit to prevent others from indulging in similar violent behavior.
