Congress says BJP is manipulating elections in Maharashtra

New Delhi: Congress leaders Ajay Rai and Ragini Nayak have said that the BJP is hijacking the electoral process in Maharashtra, alleging manipulation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and vote-buying to secure victory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ajay Rai claimed the election results did not reflect the people’s will but were a result of BJP’s control over poll machinery and misuse of government resources. He supported similar allegations made by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut and accused BJP leaders like Vinod Tawde of distributing money for votes.

Ragini Nayak criticized the BJP’s divisive campaign tactics, citing slogans like “Batenge toh Katenge” and inflammatory rhetoric. She also pointed to alleged voter suppression and pledged that Congress would continue fighting for issues like inflation, unemployment, and farmers’ rights.

The Congress celebrated successes in Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir, claiming these victories reflect public rejection of the BJP’s divisive politics.
