Agha Hassan condemns killing of three Muslims in Uttar Pradesh
Srinagar: President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Moosavi, has strongly condemned the killing of three Muslims in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued from Srinagar, Agha Hassan held the UP state government responsible for the killings, accusing the police of continuing discriminatory practices against Muslims.
He stated that the unjust actions of the police have led to the loss of innocent lives. He also criticized the government’s disregard for the constitutional rights of Muslims, emphasizing that the constitution guarantees equality and protection to all citizens.
Agha Hassan questioned the judicial order for the mosque survey, warning that any attempt to alter the status of religious sites for political reasons would be dangerous. He stressed that the 1947 status of religious places must be protected.
The killings have sparked outrage, with many calling for justice and an end to discriminatory policies targeting Muslims in India.
