Modi regime’s policies have triggered freedom, separation movements in India
New Delhi: The oppressive policies of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government and controversial legislation has triggered the genuine freedom and separation movements in many parts of the country.
According to Kashmir Media Service, political analysts are highly critical of the way the Modi regime is handling conflicts, including freedom movement in occupied Jammu and Kashmirs, Naxalite uprisings and the crisis in Manipur.
In Nagaland, tension is also high where Naga separatists are threatening strong armed resistance over the government’s failure to honor the 2015 Framework Agreement.
The Modi government continues to deal the Naxalite movement in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha with state suppression. The crackdown has deepened the crisis, pushing the backward communities to the wall forcing them to mull the option of separation rest of India as only remedy .
Manipur with over 250 people dead, 60,000 displaced and over 360 churches destroyed remains shrouded in violence. Horrific human rights violations are taking place there with women are gang-raped.
BJP’s policies, including the introduction of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), have further alienated the marginalized segments of the society.
The voices are also growing stronger for sovereignty of Assam.
