Semi nude fashion show heinous act against Islamic values: Mufti Nasir
Srinagar: Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, the Grand Mufti of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), has strongly condemned the semi-nude fashion show held at the world-famous tourist destination of Gulmarg, describing it as a heinous act against Islamic values.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam while speaking to a local media outlet called for immediate legal action against the organizers of the controversial event. He stated semi-nude men and women were walking on the ramp, which is completely unacceptable. It is against our traditions and religious values.
The Grand Mufti condemned the event as a ‘deplorable and heinous act’ that goes against Islamic values. He further pointed out that such displays are particularly offensive during the holy month of Ramadan, describing them as a direct attack on the dignity of Islam. He referred to it as cultural aggression and an invasion of Kashmiri traditions.
Nasir-ul-Islam further expressed deep distress over the incident, urging the authorities to take strict measures to prevent such occurrences in IIOJK. He called for an end to such events, stressing that they are damaging to the territory’s cultural and religious identity.
