Agha Hassan condemns closure of Jamia Masjid Srinagar on Shab-e-Barat
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safavi, has strongly condemned the closure of the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar during the blessed and sacred night of Shab-e-Barat.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued in Srinagar, Agha Hassan described the action as a direct affront to the religious sentiments of Kashmiri Muslims and a deeply regrettable, undemocratic, and unacceptable move on the part of occupation authorities.
He emphasized that locking places of worship on such a spiritually significant night constitutes a blatant attack on religious freedoms and a clear violation of fundamental human rights. Such actions, he said, are completely unacceptable.
