National Assembly passes unanimous resolution on 78th Independence Day

Pays tribute to founders, martyrs, and defenders of the nation

Islamabad: The National Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution felicitating the nation on the 78th Independence Day and reaffirming its unwavering commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the resolution was moved by Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry. It paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founders of Pakistan, and all those who rendered historic sacrifices that led to the creation of an independent and sovereign Pakistan on August 14, 1947.

The resolution also lauded the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their remarkable victory against India’s unprovoked military aggression during the recent Battle of Truth.

The House commended the resolve, courage, and professionalism of the Armed Forces, civilian heroes, and all individuals who ensured the security and stability of the country. It acknowledged the patriotism, unity, and resilience of the Pakistani people who stood shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces during testing times.

Paying homage to the martyrs and veterans who defended the nation’s honour, dignity, and freedom, the resolution reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stability, and friendly relations with all neighbouring countries on the basis of equality, mutual respect, and non-interference, while vowing an unshakable resolve to defend the country’s sovereignty against any aggression.

The resolution urged all citizens to work collectively for Pakistan’s prosperity, unity, and progress with a spirit of sacrifice, discipline, and national pride.
