Grave concern expressed in Birmingham over ongoing HR violations by India in IIOJK
Leaders call for protest outside Indian High Commission in London on Oct 27

Birmingham: An important All Parties meeting was held in Birmingham under the leadership of Fahim Kayani, President of the All Parties International Kashmir Coordination Committee.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting brought together senior representatives and leaders of various political, religious, and social organisations who are united for the freedom of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the release of all political prisoners detained by India.
The participants held an in-depth discussion on the current situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where over one million Indian occupation forces continue to suppress the fundamental political and human rights of the Kashmiri people.
The meeting expressed grave concern over the ongoing human rights violations, extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and illegal detentions of thousands of Kashmiri youth and activists.
The participants unanimously decided to hold a protest demonstration outside the Indian High Commission in London to mark their collective rejection of India’s illegal military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The protest will also call upon the United Nations, the British government, and the international community to play their due role in ending Indian atrocities and implementing UN resolutions guaranteeing the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting strongly condemned the continued imprisonment of Hurriyat leaders including Shabir Shah, Yasin Malik, Masarat Alam, Asiya Andrabi, and Dr Abdul Hameed Fayaz, who have been detained under black and draconian laws for their peaceful political struggle. The participants described their arrests as a deliberate attempt by India to silence the legitimate voices of Kashmir’s leadership.
In their speeches, prominent figures — Mufti Fazal Ahmed Qadari, Farooq ul Qadari, Maulana Tariq Masood, Chaudhry Shakeel, Zohaib Sadiq, Wajid Barki, Sheryar Kayani, Khawajah Suleman, Iram Tahir, Naeem Kakar, Iftikhar Jugnu, and others — expressed their full support and solidarity with the Kashmiri people and vowed to continue raising their voice at every forum until freedom is achieved and justice is served.
The meeting concluded with a joint pledge to strengthen coordination among all parties and organisations working for the Kashmir cause, enhance international diplomatic efforts, and mobilise the diaspora for large-scale participation in the upcoming Black Day protest outside the Indian High Commission, London, marking 27th October 1947 — the day India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
