Another madrasa demolished in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The BJP government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has demolished yet another madrasa in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, in what critics describe as a continuation of its Hindutva-driven crackdown.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the administration razed the madrasa in Naroli using bulldozers. The structure, built on 285 square meters of land, was brought down amid heavy police deployment, with the area virtually turned into a security camp during the operation.

The chairman of the Naroli panchayat questioned the action, saying no prior notice or official intimation had been given. Describing the site as a religious place, he said that the madrasa covered nearly 300 square yards and functioned as a center for Islamic education.

The demolition has triggered deep anxiety and resentment within the local Muslim community, with tensions prevailing across the area.
