New Delhi: BJP leader Usman expelled from party, arrested for criticising Modi’s ant-Muslim remarks
Tensions rise in Rajasthan as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha leader Usman Ghani has been arrested by the Rajasthan Police in Bikaner, sparking controversy and political uproar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghani, a prominent figure within the BJP’s minority wing, was expelled from the party for openly criticizing Indian Prime Minister Modi’s remarks perceived as derogatory towards Muslims.
The arrest follows Ghani’s vocal condemnation of PM Modi’s hate speech, deepening discontent within the minority community. The BJP Minority Morcha president in Bikaner expressed disappointment over the Prime Minister’s statements against Muslims, reflecting broader dissatisfaction.
Opposition parties have swiftly reacted to Ghani’s arrest, filing a complaint with the Election Commission and raising concerns about potential political motivations behind the detention.
Meanwhile, Ghani’s supporters have rallied behind him, demanding justice and denouncing what they perceive as religious-based targeting.
