Er Rasheed vows to represent Kashmiris’ aspirations
Urges Modi to distinguish between 'silence of graveyard' and 'real peace'
Srinagar: Jailed Kashmiri politician Engineer Abdul Rasheed, who won the Baramulla Constituency with a huge margin, has termed his victory as “People’s Victory” and expressed gratitude to the masses for their overwhelming support.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a meeting with his lawyer at Tihar Jail, New Delhi, Rasheed assured the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir that he would continue to represent their interests, which have been neglected for decades. He emphasized the need for the Modi regime to understand the difference between “silence of the graveyard” and “real peace”.
Rasheed cautioned against forces seeking power without considering its cost to the people and stressed the need for unity among Kashmiris to achieve their aspirations. He also submitted an application for bail in a Delhi court.
