Qazi Nisar remembered on martyrdom anniversary
Islamabad: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has paid rich tributes to Dr Qazi Nisar, a renowned intellectual and leader in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, on his martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Dr Qazi Nisar was assassinated by unidentified gunmen on June 19, 1994 in Dialgam area of Islamabad district in IIOJK.
The JKDFP acting chairman, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, in a statement in Islamabad, praised Dr Qazi Nisar’s role in uniting the Kashmiri Muslims and his contributions to the freedom struggle. His intellectual legacy continues to inspire thousands of Kashmiri scholars across political and ideological divides, he said, adding that the people of Kashmir would never forget the services of Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmad.
Other Hurriyat leaders also joined in paying homage to Dr Qazi Nisar, remembering his services to the religious and political causes in Kashmir.
