APHC expresses serious concern over deteriorating situation in IIOJK
Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman, Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar said Indian troops, paramilitary and police personnel during so-called massive cordon and search operations and house raids have detained, interrogated and questioned several Kashmiris and activists in different areas of Srinagar, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Kupwara, Baramulla, Kulgam, Shopian, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda and Samba districts from last few days.
He said these districts are witnessing intensified measures in the name of security while widespread surveillance and search operations are underway across the districts which are adding miseries and mental trauma among the local population.
Abdul Rashid Minhas said India is trying to hide its war crimes by continued operations and had converted the internationally recognized disputed territory into a military garrison and police state.
He said the whole territory has been under siege since August 2019 and so-called New Delhi-controlled BJP regime can neither end the sentiments and demand of freedom of Kashmiris nor mislead the international community with fake propaganda of peace and development tactics.
