BJP government ‘funded’ illegal construction of Masjid, now creating fuss
Dharamsala: Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh has alleged that the previous BJP government of Himachal Pradesh had “funded” the construction of the portion of the controversial Masjid in Sanjauli with the intention was to create a controversy and target Muslim community
According to Kashmir Media Service, the minister said the previous BJP Government has sanctioned about Rs200,000 under the planning head in 2019.
While addressing media persons jointly with Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh the HP Minister accused the BJP and its associated organizations of spearheading the protest and politicizing the matter.
He alleged that the illegal construction of the Masjid was undertaken during the tenure of the previous BJP government. “Three floors of the mosque were built during the Covid period. Who was in power at that time? Whose Mayor and Deputy Mayor were in the Municipal Corporation? It’s easy to point a finger at others, but the BJP ignores its own deeds,” he added.
