Naxalites set six locations on fire in Manipur
Imphal: In the strife-torn Indian state of Manipur, Naxalites attacked a tribal village in Jiribam district, setting ablaze at least six houses.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a senior police officer informed the media that Naxalites set fire to homes in Zaeroon Hamar village.
Upon learning of the Naxalites’ presence, villagers abandoned their homes and took shelter in nearby jungles, saving their lives. However, the rebels torched at least six houses in the village.
It is worth noting that Manipur has witnessed violent incidents since May last year, which the police and law enforcement agencies have completely failed to stop. These incidents have resulted in the deaths of over 200 people and displaced hundreds.
