KCEU observe Indian Republic Day as Black Day with protest in Brussels

Brussels: To mark India’s Republic Day as Black Day, a peaceful protest was held today outside the Indian Embassy in Brussels, organized by the Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest, led by KCEU Chairman Ali Raza Syed, was attended by a large number of Kashmiris and their supporters, along with political and social organizations. Participants carried Kashmiri flags and banners, raising slogans against Indian atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and demanding the fulfillment of India’s promises for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

In his address, Ali Raza Syed condemned the human rights violations in IIOJK and called for an immediate end to the oppression of Kashmiris. He emphasized that the Kashmir issue must be resolved peacefully and without delay, to allow Kashmiris to live a prosperous and peaceful life.

Syed also highlighted the imprisonment of prominent Kashmiri figures under baseless charges and condemned India’s draconian black laws used to detain them. He reiterated that the Kashmiri people would never give up their right to self-determination.

Other speakers at the rally reiterated that the purpose of the protest was to send a message to the world that India’s illegal occupation of IIOJK violates the democratic and human rights of Kashmiris. They called for international intervention to stop the ongoing atrocities and to help achieve a peaceful and just resolution to the Kashmir issue.
