Indian BSF personnel martyr Muslim youth in Assam

Guwahati: A 26-year-old Muslim youth was martyred by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Hindutva Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled disturbed Assam state in India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian BSF personnel killed the Muslim youth, identified as Shahinur Islam, in the South Salmara-Mankachar district of the state.

A BSF official said the man, Shahinur Islam of Char Kukurmara village, adjoining the international border, was shot dead in the South Salmara-Mankachar district.

The BSF claimed that deceased was attempting to smuggle cattle to Bangladesh before dawn.
