Mirwaiz expresses solidarity with fire victims in IIOJK, calls for urgent support

Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has voiced grave concern over two devastating fire incidents in Kishtwar and Bandipora districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, nearly 100 residential structures and a Jamia Masjid in Malwar Warwan area of Kishtwar were destroyed. In Bandipora, a bustling market and several homes in the Tulail area were also engulfed by the flames.

Expressing solidarity with the victims, Mirwaiz lamented the immense financial losses amounting to millions of rupees and called upon philanthropists and aid organizations in the occupied territory to step forward for the urgent rehabilitation of those affected. He emphasized the critical need for support, especially with winter fast approaching, for the impoverished and vulnerable populations in these areas.

Describing the rapid loss of homes as distressing and soul-crushing, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed deep empathy for the struggles faced by the community. He offered prayers for resilience and strength for the affected individuals, hoping they can rebuild their lives and homes as soon as possible.
